Beauty as subjective.

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what about reality? Is beauty truly subjective or is it that we are seeing different people as attractive and beautiful based on our own formed constructs and ideas of beauty from the society and media? I see beauty as subjective in the sense that we all find different people attractive, like from our friends, but are we subconsciously finding them attractive based on the idea that beauty is actually objective? Is beauty actually in the eye of the beholder, or is it created ideas of beauty by social standards?
