Art is vulnerability. Writing is vulnerability. Creation is vulnerability.

Creation involves vulnerability.
Art, music, writing, crafts, drawing, painting, storyboarding, filmmaking, producing.
Creating anything means being vulnerable.
It means pulling from your lived experiences, emotions, feelings, thoughts, mind, heart, and self.
It means sharing parts of your inner self, your inner world,
your perspectives and views and how you see and interpret the world around you.
It means taking pieces of your heart and soul, and pouring it out into the artworks you create.
It means revealing parts of yourself that only you know,
parts of you that you wish to keep hidden, or protect, or honour.
It means exposing yourself to the world indirectly through another medium;
being vulnerable and being seen.
As an artist, a creator, a human being -
being okay with sitting in our vulnerability and us being seen by the world; by other people existing alongside us
- it means being brave and courageous in showing our art, our creations,
for ourselves and also for others who resonate with it too.
Art is vulnerability.
Writing is vulnerability.
Creation is vulnerability.
It is the birth and yearn of the human being.
It is a piece of the human; the individual person; who someone may be.
And in creating,
naturally, with your heart, mind, and soul,
comes the pieces of your inner being
brought to life into the outer world with all its external layers of inside revelations.
The poems, the artwork, the writing, the films, the music - release it all into the world.
Privately or publicly.
Let it be revealed to another and others.
Let it be revealed to yourself.
Let it be seen and felt and heard.
Let people find it.
And let yourself express it all.
Let yourself reflect on it.
Maybe in the whole process of it all, you'll also find yourself too.
Who you were and are; who you've been and become.
Maybe in the whole process of it all, it means coming back to you.
From within, truthfully and authentically, in all your vulnerability of human being expression.
Sincerely,
Sitting With Ourselves
